Německá automobilka tento týden odhalila faceliftovanou podobu svého manažerského modelu Panamera. Porsche mírně osvěžilo design vozu a představilo nové motory pod kapotou. I to oživilo myšlenku na novou karosářskou podobu Panamery - automobilka prý stále zvažuje Coupé.

O této možnosti hovořil s novináři Thomas Friemuth, produktový šéf Porsche. „Ještě jsem neudělali finální rozhodnutí. Roky už ale o tomto projektu hovoříme. Dokážeme si představit řadu konkurentů, kteří mají podobně velká kupé. Problém je, že už jedno pěkné auto tohoto střihu máme, jmenuje se 911. Ale pořád se díváme po dalších příležitostech,“ řekl na virtuální konferenci trochu neurčitě Friemuth.

Porsche Panamera Coupé by mělo nabídnout uspořádání 2+2 a stát se ideovým následovníkem Porsche 928. Velké kupé s motorem vpředu se vyrábělo až do roku 1995. Dnes by mezi konkurenty Panamery Coupé patřilo třeba BMW 8, Lexus LC nebo třeba Mercedes-Benz S Coupé, jakkoliv se hovoří o tom, že v návaznosti na novou generaci třídy S jej Stuttgart vyrábět nebude.

Každopádně pokud dá Porsche projektu Panamery Coupé nakonec zelenou, nepodívá se vůz do sériové produkce hned. Nejdřív by mohl přijít s novou generací, nebo krátce po jejím uvedení. Ta by se měla ale objevit až někdy po roce 2023.
