Ženeva 2018: Třída A od Mercedesu boduje interiérem, technika je spíš konvenční

Výstavní premiéru má v Ženevě také nový Mercedes-Benz třídy A W177 – prémiový kompakt, namířený opět hlavně proti Audi A3. Hlavním tahákem nové generace, na který automobilka lákala dlouho v předstihu, je interiér. Přesněji řečeno nové uživatelské rozhraní, pro které Mercedes vymyslel označení MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience).

Dominantním rysem interiéru je dvojice širokoúhlých displejů, jako to známe z větších modelů značky. Ten před řidičem slouží primárně jako virtuální přístrojový štít, displej vpravo zobrazuje funkce infotaimmentu. Také kruhové výdechy ventilace (zde stylizované do podoby turbín), vodorovný šik tlačítek na středovém panelu i touchpad s opěrkou mají předobraz ve větších Mercedesech s poháněnou zadní nápravou.

Exteriér je naproti tomu spíše evolucí známých tvarů. Nejvýznačnějším rysem nové karoserie jsou štíhlejší světlomety s ostrými rohy a upravený tvar masky chladiče, která je teď nejširší ve spodní třetině. Vzadu jsou opět hlavní změnou štíhlejší, horizontálně orientované „lampy“.

Platforma konstrukčně vychází z té současné. Nová třída A má však o 30 mm delší rozvor a celá karoserie narostla do délky o výrazných 12 centimetrů.

Jestli někoho nová třída A nepotěší, jsou to lidé, kteří si myslí, že vytříbený design by měl mít oporu také ve vytříbené technice. Základní benzinová i naftová motorizace totiž používají vzadu jednoduchou vlečenou nápravu, nikoliv vyspělejší multi-link. A diesel 1,6 l v modelu A 180 d navíc pochází od Renaultu. Ale co, když může Audi prodávat v A3 stejnou techniku jako Seat v Leonu, proč by nemohl Mercedes.

Diesel i benzinové motorizace A 200 a A 250 se budou při uvedení na trh dodávat jen s dvouspojkovou převodovkou 7G-DCT.

Ze zajímavých prvků výbavy stojí za zmínku diodové světlomety Multibeam LED, aktivní asistent změny jízdního pruhu nebo ventilovaná přední sedadla, která zatím v kompaktní třídě mnoho výrobců nenabízí.
