Škoda Rapid dostala facelift, který z ní udělá alespoň na pohled Škodu Scala

Škoda Rapid projde modernizací
První fotky ukazují, že alespoň na pohled se tento model přiblíží novější Scale, která Rapid v Evropě nahradila
Samozřejmě jde o vůz určený na čísnký trh

Nová Škoda Scala ukončila na evropských trzích působení modelu Rapid, který byl ještě založen na starší platformě PQ25. Do úplného důchodu se ale vůz neodebral. Stále se prodává v Číně, kde už mají připraven výraznější facelift. Ten čínské verze Škody Rapid a Rapid Spaceback alespoň na pohled přiblíží právě nejnovější Scale.

Dokazují to první fotky, které aktuálně kolují po internetu. Zveřejnil je třeba ruský magazín 365news. Ze snímků je jasně patrná přepracovaná přední část se širší maskou a zcela nově tvarovanými světlomety.

Podobné úpravy se odehrály vzadu. Mimochodem – protože v Číně nepoužívají diodové koncové svítilny, zezadu připomíná modernizovaný Rapid Spaceback současný Fiat Tipo s karoserií hatchback ještě více, než tomu je u Scaly. Samozřejmě ani zde nemůže chybět nový nápis Škoda na pátých dveřích, respektive na víku zavazadlového prostoru (čínský rapid je totiž klasický sedan).

Techniky se podle všeho modernizace nedotkne, takže se čínské verze Škody Rapid budou i nadále prodávat se zážehovou nepřeplňovanou patnáctistovkou 1.5 MPI naladěnou na 81 kW (110 k) a 150 Nm. Kdy Škoda model Rapid se vzhledem Škody Scala oficiálně odhalí, to se zatím neví. Výraznější facelift už ale byl potřeba, protože jak připomíná web 365news, Škoda se v Číně potýká s propadem prodejů. Například právě Rapid zaznamenal meziroční pokles o třetinu.
